Improved workflow thanks to minimized manual data collection and reconciliation. Our customer is a large Hungarian company operating in the waste management sector.
Business requirement and challenge
The goal was to create a weekly executive report every Monday by 10:00 a.m., without requiring weekend work from the controllers. Previously, this meant two full days of manual data gathering for the financial controlling team. The process began with the analysis of weekly accounting data, which only became available on Saturday morning. As a result, the reporting process inevitably led to weekend work.
Our Solution with ABUX
Our consultants created a data warehouse as the source of the report. Using that database ABUX automatically generates these weekly reports with gathering all needed information in the background.
Decision-making in lockstep with the whole organization
Rolling sales forecasting requires better planning interactivity and timeliness. Our customer is a manufacturer and distributor of luxury products, with sales activity handled by regional representatives and a dynamically growing market presence.
Business requirement and challenge
For rolling sales forecasting, a system was needed that eliminates the disconnection between finance and operations and is capable of reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with unlimited scenarios and versions, while reducing manual data gathering. The main source data comes from IFS and from two previously isolated departments: sales representatives and manufacturing.
Our Solution with ABUX
Input data is collected using standardized templates, enabling sales and manufacturing to work together. Role-based access control is available in ABUX. Sales representatives access ABUX via a mobile application (Power BI), allowing them to share sales forecast data directly. Production can now plan more accurately using real-time sales data from the field.
Cash-flow in the Blink of an Eye
Tracking different payment methods on a single, robust platform for hundreds of projects makes it possible to maintain up-to-date cash flow statements for a large, publicly accountable construction company.
Business requirement and challenge
Our client needs an accurate, reliable, and rapidly assembled cash flow statement that uses both actual and planned data. The financial settlement methods of projects vary (e.g. barter, cash, bank transfer, prepayment). These methods are monitored on separate platforms, and controllers have to gather information manually in order to obtain a realistic picture.
Our Solution with ABUX
After performing data quality management on all related sources, we set up a dedicated database for the cash flow report. ABUX eliminates manual steps and accurately visualizes the financial position of projects in near real time.
Greater Stock Visibility
The customer supplies his reseller network and webshop from a central stock. There is a need for a flexible, dynamic, and back-to-back inventory system.
Business requirement and challenge
The customer supplies his reseller network and webshop from a central stock. There is a need for a flexible, dynamic, and back-to-back inventory system. Navision is responsible for storing inventory data. It is hard to change the report settings (to pivot, to add dimensions, etc.). Moreover, historical data is stored in an earlier version of the Navision database, and data migration between the two versions is incomplete.
Our Solution with ABUX
This is a frequent business need, so our consultants are highly trained to solve this type of problem. The bridge between the old and the new Navision databases will be ABUX: a more flexible, manageable tool for analyzing stock. Additional, more specific reports are available for inventory tracking (e.g. stock ageing, the report of number of days on stock, to follow on the number of days in stock).
